Master Bath With Half-Wall Shower
Twin stand-alone vanities replace a dated wall-to-wall version. The previous vanity cabinets towered over the bath and made for a cramped feeling.
The tiled shower is shown here before the glass shower door and walls are installed. A running bond tile pattern adds interest without being overwhelming.
This half wall provides a seat for the glass wall above it. The design allows lots of light to enter the shower area.
On the other side of the half wall is a built-in shelf facing an open seating area.
The toilet has it's own dedicated space.
The homeowner provided this picture after the glass was installed. The built-in shelf serves as storage and a display area.
Watch a video here of how this half-wall and built-in solved the problem of supporting the heavy glass.
The original master bath had imposing cabinets and a giant jacuzzi tub which left very little space for anything else. The new design leaves space for seating, storage, and enough open area to change the feel of the bath. The soothing blue color on the walls compliments the white carrara tile.
